Dice Drawings-Assignment 9-Option 1

Objective: To create a drawing by using a dice for a drawing game where you draw what you roll. Supplies: Something to draw with! The following are the dice games that you can use for the game.  If you do not have a dice then I have posted a template you can use to make a dice at home.

Pendulum Paintings-Assignment 8-Option 4

Recommended for grades 3rd-5th, but younger students could do this with a parent or older sibling's assistance.  Objective: To create a pendulum for painting using string, a water bottle(or old glue bottle), and watered down tempera paint. Materials needed:  larger and thicker pieces of paper like posterboard, scissors, string, tempera paint that you will water down or something similar, something to hold the paint(I used an old water bottle and took off the cap. I then hot-glued a glue cap to the water bottle, and took off the orange part part of the cap.  I also duct taped around the glue to make sure that it would not leak.) You could also make the container to hold the paint out of a soda bottle or a large paper or styrofoam cup.  You can get pretty creative with your invention.  I have seen people do this in many different ways. To describe different kinds of pattern in art by looking at a poster and identifying patterns in everyday life or in nature. Materials needed: paper, something to draw with What I used: waterproof micron pen and watercolor paint Hello Artists!       For this lesson, you are going to learn about the artist and ornithologist John James Audubon.  An ornithologist is someone who studies birds. Audubon was known for his drawings in the book titled The Birds of North America . Stop and Smell the Roses!-Assignment 8-Option 2

Recommended for any grade level Objectives: To know and describe who the artist Georgia O'Keefe was and what kind of artwork she was known for by watching a short video.
